POTTSTOWN >> Students in the district can learn how to play tennis for free starting this Saturday.
The Greater Pottstown Tennis and Learning nonprofit organization will offer free tennis clinics to students currently enrolled in the Pottstown School District. The free opportunity is made possible through a grant from the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation.
Students will practice outdoors at the Pottstown High School tennis courts. Free racquet rentals will be available for participants.
The clinics will last eight weeks. Practice is every Saturday afternoon until Oct. 31. Students 10 and under will practice from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Students ages 11 to 13 will practice from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Students ages 14 to 17 will practice from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The deadline to register is Thursday, Sept. 10. Parents can register their children by emailing the child’s name, age and grade to Maryellen@gptatennis.com.
