POTTSTOWN >> About 20 people breathed in and out while doing graceful tai chi movements during a free class at the Pottstown YMCA Saturday morning.

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese martial arts style originally developed for self-defense. Today, it’s often used as a form of exercise that incorporates mindfulness and meditation. Tai includes slow, gentle movements while focusing on the breath.

The next free event is a family agility course 6:30 p.m. July 20 at Memorial Park in Pottstown. Then there will be a glow light Zumba party at the Coventry Mall Aug. 5 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
